How to read your assignment
This assignment reads: West Grace North, 3rd Floor, Suite #3204, Room B, Bed Space 2.
Please note within the room bed spaces are not assigned. You may not switch your room within the suite.
When can residents move in?
The West Broad Street parking deck will be open for residents moving in on August 9 and August 14-15. Residents who sign up for a move-in timeslot on August 10-13 will receive a parking pass to their VCU email 48 hours in advance. This parking pass should be printed and placed on the dash of a resident's car. It is only valid for the selected move-in day. There will be unloading zones and parking signs around each residence hall. Residents are asked to unload their items at the curb and then immediately move their vehicle to the designated parking deck. Check-in Tips
- Check in at the West Grace North main entrance, 830 W. Grace St. Richmond VA, 23220. If you decide to arrive after normal business hours or on a weekend, be prepared to wait for an on-call staff member to check you in.
- Bring your VCUCard with you to check in. If you do not have your VCUCard, a state ID is also accepted.
- You will be issued your room key.
- West Grace North residents pick up their mail and packages from the Residence Hall Central Package Center located at 207 N Laurel Street.
- It is a good idea to bring your own dolly, wagon, or cart. Moving carts will be limited.

- Cleaning supplies for kitchen, bathroom, and living spaces
- Desk lamp (without built-in outlets or USB ports in the base)
- Dishes and silverware
- Dish soap
- Dishwasher detergent
- Electric power strips with surge protectors (no extension cords)
- Flashlight
- HE Laundry detergent and dryer sheets
- Iron and ironing board
- Kitchen utensils
- Toilet paper
- Toiletries
- Toilet plunger
- Wastebasket

Provided Appliances
Dishwasher, stove, oven, full refrigerator, and HE washer/dryer are provided in each unit.
Recommendations
We recommend that students contact their future roommate(s) to avoid possible duplication of items prior to arrival on campus. We also recommend that some items be purchased upon arrival.
What Not To Bring
- Additional furniture (RLH Staff will not permit these items inside the building and you will have to return them to your vehicle)
- Air-conditioner
- Cinder blocks, loft equipment, bed risers or any other equipment/items used to adjust bed height
- Extension cords
- Items that require a flame to operate or that produce heat, such as candles (including decorative), incense and incense burners, plug-in air fresheners, grills, lanterns and halogen lights.
- Pets
- Shower rod, rings and liners (VCU provides vinyl liners and metal rings, but a decorative shower curtain can be added in front of the vinyl liner if the residents prefer.)
